We will win

About a month or so ago I was spending time studying the Word in Job and came across these words. Job was describing his righteous standing before the Lord and defending to his friends that his current afflictions did not reflect his actions as they supposed.

Job 29

16 I was a father to the needy;
I took up the case of the stranger.
17 I broke the fangs of the wicked
 and snatched the victims from their teeth.

I instantly teared up and knew that THIS is what the Lord has called me to do as an exit strategist at Rescue America. Every day, 24/7 we battle the wicked on our hotline.

The enemy thinks that he has these women in his teeth.

Through the lies he’s told them, the drugs their traffickers have used to numb and break them, through the violence and trauma they have endured at the hands of their consumers, but NO

Our God has equipped us brother and sister to FIGHT the wicked on their behalf.

Our God is the great physician, the MIGHTY counselor. He has knit these women together and knows every hair on their precious heads. He loves them with a never ending, all consuming love.

…….And so he sends us, His children.

So we go….

Through His strength our advocates answer those hotline calls, in His peace our exit teams provide transportation to safety, by the Spirit our new life mentors walk with survivors on their healing journeys

Each volunteer and every staff member are seeking to be a part of RESCUE because we ourselves have been rescued.

When we go into the darkness we do not have to be afraid because he has promised us in John that “In him (is) life, and the life was the light of men. The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it.

As we move forward and advance His kingdom into these dark places, He is with us. We will be victorious. We will break the fangs of the wicked.
