A Voice of Hope: Bob’s Journey in Fighting Human Trafficking
Bob, one of Rescue America’s dedicated volunteers, reflects on his powerful journey with the organization. After learning about human trafficking and the vital role that volunteers play, Bob felt a deep calling to join the cause. Over the past year, he has been actively involved in both the Outreach Hub and the Hotline—two critical components in helping survivors of human trafficking find freedom.
“When I started as one of the first male volunteers, I was unsure of the impact I could make,” Bob shares. “But every call I took, every survivor I spoke with, showed me how important this work is.” Bob emphasizes the importance of the volunteer team, describing how each person’s role, from providing resources to simply listening, plays a pivotal part in helping survivors exit dangerous situations and start a new life.
Bob’s testimony highlights the real impact volunteers can have, not only on survivors but also within their own communities. “It takes all of us—each phone call, each outreach effort, can help rescue someone.”
